Brand Africa was founded in 2010, and has released the annual “Brand Africa 100 | Africa’s Best Brands” ranking since 2011. Based on extensive consumer research across more than 30 African countries—representing over 85% of the continent’s population and GDP—the survey is independently executed by professional research firm GeoPoll and Africa’s leading brand consultancy Kantar. After 15 years of development, the resulting ranking has become a recognized benchmark of brand influence across African markets.

Softcare made its debut this May on the list of the Top 100 Most Admired Brands in Africa, joining other renowned African homegrown brands such as MTN, the continent’s largest mobile network operator, and Azam group, a diversified conglomerate based in Tanzania.

Softcare was also one of only eight personal care brands to make the list. Other selected brands included internationally renowned names such as Nivea, Colgate, and L'Oréal.

In March 2025, Softcare’s sanitary pads and baby diapers once again won the Kenya Consumer Choice Award.
